About

A little about me

My path towards counselling has grown from a long-standing curiosity about people, communication and the conditions that help us feel genuinely understood.

Alongside my training, I have spent many years working in software engineering, where listening, collaboration and navigating complexity have been central to my work.

Counselling asks for a different kind of attention: not rushing to solve, not assuming I know what is best, but seeking to understand another person's world with openness and care.

I am particularly drawn to the therapeutic relationship as a space where people can explore difficult feelings, discover their own meaning and connect more fully with their needs and values.

A multicultural background and experience of living across different countries have also deepened my appreciation for different perspectives.

Approach

How I approach counselling

01

Person-centred foundation

I value empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard, seeking to offer a relationship in which clients feel heard and accepted.

02

Integrative curiosity

My developing practice draws on training, experience, supervision and reflection, while remaining responsive to each client's unique needs and circumstances.

03

Empathic communication

Nonviolent Communication has influenced my appreciation for listening without judgement and for understanding the feelings and needs beneath what people express.

04

Reflective and ethical practice

I see supervision, self-awareness, boundaries and continuing learning as essential to responsible therapeutic work.

Presence before problem-solving. Curiosity before assumption. Understanding before advice.
